Hello Donna, Thank you for your time on the phone today. I am sorry you had to hang up. I thought it would be best to continue the conversation over email. We are not against you, we want to work with you and help you out of this situation. As I explained, we are at the point now where we need to do something about your storage account. We have been very patient and reasonable and allowed you over three years to catch up and get the arrears up to date. This hasn’t happened unfortunately and the account is currently in arrears of £1044.00 which is 244 days overdue. The cost of the storage has risen by £16 over the last 5 years which is below inflation. We do not seek to be unreasonable with our price increases. Our debt recovery process follows the guidelines of the Self-Storage Association and normally we would send 4 letters and then dispose of the items, usually via an auction. The remaining debt after the proceeds of the auction is then passed to Athena Collections Ltd. We do not want to dispose of the items in your storage unit. We would much rather you came and collected them. There is currently £1044.00 outstanding. If you could make a reasonable and significant payment towards the outstanding balance as you see fit and practical, we would be willing to write of the remainder of the debt for you as a gesture of goodwill. We will then allow you to remove your items from the storage unit and vacate without any future repercussions and storage debt free. Please seriously consider this very generous offer, as it is the last time we will offer you this deal. If we do not hear from you by 5pm on the Wednesday the 25thMarch 2026, we will go ahead with the auction with a view to clearing the unit.
