Enough...

I noticed a pile of books in the office at Mercedes-Benz World, Weybridge, Surrey, England. I had only just started the business, freelance. (Meant I could still do other projects and not tied in.)

One of the ladies said I could have a copy. That's kind I thought, what a great impression this business gives off. I had always liked Mercedes, wow, here I was part of this cool, superior, high end powerful brand.

The book, if your interested, is called "Nice Is Not A Biscuit - Peter Mead"

Within the first month they offered me a free ride in the SLS sports car which is one of the driving experiences they sell...

 

I also had a chance of driving a car and the driver asked me who my favourite F1 driver was Lewis or George? I wondered if this was something they asked all customers before they take part in their driving experience.

One day in August 2023 they placed me in the sim zone - they played all sorts of pop music REALLY LOUD next to the noise of the driving sims,  really loud, in fact it was so loud it took me weeks to recover, I kept having migraines - I had never experienced this before - it felt like a form of torture...I had previously worked at the vets and already witnessed some situations, I was already coping with anxiety but this triggered panic attacks.

One day it was raining, They loaned me an umbrella which I bought back the next day. About a week later I was accused of not bringing back the umbrella by the receptionist, she's the girl that pretends to be nice.

​

NOW, common sense would be this - I would quite happily GIVE you an umbrella - brilliant marketing!

Anyway, a lovely lady was so embarrassed that she gave me an umbrella...

One of the younger men that worked there was always lying about Formula 1, he actually did not know anything about the cars, came across as a bully and certainly did not like customers, even though in a customer role.

(I have always found this bizarre that on the back of the doors corporate business remind staff that it's a show and they tell them to smile etc before they make their grand entrance for the day. I mean do you not recruit employees that actually like customers, bring customer experience or want to speak with customers rather than ACT).

One of the managers that has been there for years was very messed up, rubbing it in when she had been paid her monthly wage by Mercedes whilst others that were only contracted in by BDE had to wait until the end of the  month and even though they did all the work received much less.

She was the  one that said about drive to survive "she wanted more crashes" 

Sitting their looking into space most of the time, she is the one that signs off all shifts to BDE...

Then I saw the wedding dress picture just sitting there on the desk, it was put there deliberately by somebody. 

​

A few weeks later there happened to be a mini plastic skeleton toy placed in the top drawer at one of the work stations. Then I found a tiny lego piece in one of the cars with a racing car driver head one side and a warrior head the other...

​

Over the months got to know some of the staff and of courses there are those that like to get into one's private life and then cleverly use reverse psychology, you trust them and then before you know it little tongues start wagging and they think they are in with you. Before you know it, inner circles...
